The Paleo diet is not based on sound science. At any rate, this is a fad diet that taps into people's anxieties about the modern world, and information about it is widely available, making something like this redundant. Fiction books may have valuable content even if they contain problematic elements and bad research. The same cannot always be said for non-fiction.

Here's something that is based on sound science: 95 percent of dieters regain all of the weight they initially lost or more within five years or less. All books like this need to be approached with caution.
