This author is a master the way he combines images, mythology and rhyme. It's rare for me to find poetry I can read and enjoy, because so much poetry I don't understand. This on the other hand isn't personal musing, it has many appealing qualities. Most of it is a bit dark and hearkens back to medieval times with splashes of science fiction and horror. This couplet is one small example of why I enjoyed it:

There maidens dance beneath the moon; red lips sing songs of lust.
They promise life beyond this world, dark lies that none can trust.

Gary Mark Lee is a great poet. As the description states, these poems are like stories that take you to ancient lands where heroic warriors battle monsters and rescue fair maidens. As a fan of adventure thrillers, I really enjoyed this one.
