Albert Tannenbaum was a key witness in the prosecutions of Louis Lepke Buchalter and Bugsy Siegel, among other gangsters. New York City authorities kept Tannenbaum secluded at the Half Moon Hotel in Coney Island, using him as a witness in numerous criminal prosecutions. Then he was taken to California to testify for the prosecution in Bugsy Siegel's trial. He was one of several "singing canaries". More
