Against The Night is a collection of love poems, which all are dedicated to the author's love of his life. It's his journey of finding and realizing that she was and still is the one. Truly romantic!

Against the Night is a book of poetry that is eclectic and descriptive with artistic flow. P.M.F. Johnson’s flow with words is very intimate; the descriptive nature of his words takes on various analogies. Yet, the stories take you into the romance of a man and a woman in true love. There is adoration, dedication, and commitment for a love that is like no other. To that end, I’m reminded of rainfall suspended in the air; in slow motion, the water pellets finally reach destinations where dew wavers ever so gently on every petal it touches. There is intrigue and bated breath where anticipation of every line takes you on a journey; the lovers are inseparable in every sense of the word. The reverence for the other half that makes him whole allows desire and passion to peer into the eyes of a love that surpasses understanding. Their bond has a strength that can never be broken and their love soars heights that have no boundaries. Against the Night is a read of kind.
