Review by: Jean Stewart on Jan. 25, 2017 :
The book is more of a book of poems expressing personal growth rather than past experiences , but I think it has very good advise and personal enlightenment for anyone struggling with depression or fear or any bondage. A particularly liked the metaphor of becoming adusted to being in a dark tunnel and finding safety over time in the very thing that's causing the pain.Anyone that can break through the brainwashing of a cult such as the JW and remove the fear and negatively...burnt...into their very souls through out their childhood is remarkable. Having been raised and married as a young girl in this same cult as the author. I understand the sheer.....SPIRIT...breaking they do to young children and women, so I applaud the core of this book and can identify with the codependency issues discussed and the constant people-pleasing problems addressed in the book. The very things.....demanded....and that were instilled in US being raised by a money making religious organization and not free thinking parents.
