About Pat Pflieger

Pat Pflieger studies and writes about books for children; she's also taught children's literature to college students. She is especially interested in magazines and newspapers created for American children before 1873. She's the author of a book on Beverly Cleary and her books, "A Reference Guide to Modern Fantasy for Children", and a collection of letters written by children and teenagers in the 1800s. Other works for children include "The Fog's Net", a picture book published by Houghton Mifflin.
