Kevin Triplett an auto-racing historian and writer from Live Oak, California was born into a racing family; his great-uncle was Ernie Triplett, the 1931 and 1932 AAA Pacific Coast champion and 5-time time Indianapolis 500 starter. Kevin drove his father’s sprint cars in the Midwest through the mid-80’s then working as a sprint car crew chief through the 2000’s before deciding that he was much better behind the keyboard than he was spinning wrenches or behind the wheel of a race car. Kevin’s articles have appeared in print in the The Alternate and National Speed Sport News, and online at www.Openwheelracers3.com. Kevin is a long-time member of the Yahoo! Racing History Group, serves on the National Sprint Car of Fame induction committee, and provides the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame with research assistance. Although Kevin’s articles mainly deal with auto racing history, he occasionally provides openwheelracers3.com with articles on current notable racing events in Northern California.
