I just love cool headed women like Caitlyn who doesn't go into indignant histrionics like most heroines in romance novels. She calmly took her new husband home and investigated the marriage claim instead of huffing and puffing about it. In romance novels, so rare is the girl who tries to think first instead of having a knee jerk emotional reaction to everything. And Chris is really sweet. I love the story, I love the characters. Great read.

Great story! I love the characters and their uniqueness. It is also a good reminder of how complicated our comunication can be and how many misunderstandings can it brings. Funny, sexy, different. Way to go!

I enjoyed the science fiction aspect of this romance novel. It's not typical of the Ruth Ann Nordin books that I have read in the past, but a fun change.

The lack of communication and miscommunication can lead to interesting things in a relationship. I enjoy the read as Ruth Ann Nordin weaves intricate and intimate tales.

For a short story, it really pulls you in and is very interesting and different. You feel the emotions of the charaters and care about what happens to them.

Janes books are almost euphoric in state. You can't help put to become apart of the book and feel the joys, sadiness and love the characters feel. You shed tears of joy and pain as if they were you own joys and pains.

In this story Ruth is talking about a being from another planet. Yet she helps you understand how it must feel for "aliens" (people from other parts of this world) feel getting use to our customs and our play on words.

She helps you to understand something so strange as love isn't something that we have complete control over and have to trust others to help us and guide us. I know that God can do all thing, but we all have those moments when we say "God are you sure he/she is the one for me?" And as soon as you let HIM do his work it all comes to the Goodiness it is suppose to be.

I took a break for awhile because I had read all of Ruth's stories and was left feeling empty and alone for a bit. Now that she has more stories my husband is happy that I am back to reading and actually more at peace with him.
From him to you Ruth, he says "Thanks YOU!!!!"

Suddenly a Bride by Ruth Ann Nordin
Across the Stars Book 1
I just love Ruth's books! Her hero's are the sweetest guys and you just fall for them as they try and please the love of their life. In this case our hero is Rilo An from Pandoran, a planet where there were only men left. He goes to Star Systems Unlimited and pays them to choose him a wife from Earth. He wants a woman willing to be his Life Mate and who will want children with him. He knows when he finds her that a special hormone will release from him giving her the desire to bond with him and that will make them Life Mates, or in earth terms, married. While waiting for his trip to earth he meets Marn. Marn has chosen to go to Earth and look rather then have the Life Mate chosen for him. Marn, who becomes Mark on earth, wants to know the woman would choose him as well. They meet again once they arrive and even end up working in the same place... a job that was the most challenging for them, as they are coming from an extremely advanced world. But lonely without women.

Caitlyn Davis is a waitress. Her first husband, Randy, passed away three years ago. She worked with her best friend, Sandy who was also Randy's sister. A man comes to the diner and Caitlyn waits on him, he is one of the sweetest men she's met in awhile. He asks her to eat with him and she does. Rilo's earth name is now Chris West and before Caitlyn knows what hit her, she is suddenly Caitlyn West. Through out the story we see where Chris feels like he has to be like Randy to gain Caitlyn's love. The villain in the story is her mother who likes to rule her daughters lives, she manages to get her claws into Chris and convince him that he has to do certain things to prove his love for her daughter. Poor Chris is so eager to prove he is as worthy as Randy that he falls for it. I can't wait until the next two books are written.

What an awesome book. I love it :-) it's so accurate as to how some of the characters act. But it was also romantic on how the story went. Great read. Once you start you won't be able to pit it down. Cantvwait for the sequel to this great book. I hope it's as good as this one.
