About the Series: The House
At the House, submissive women are recruited to become temporary slaves to BDSM masters who are all part of a secret community with very strict customs and rules. The women are matched to a master who can best fulfill their submissive fantasies and meet their emotional and sexual needs.

But at the heart of the community's rules is that no master is permitted to fall in love with his slave, and his membership is terminated if he becomes involved in a romantic relationship, because entanglements like that pose a danger to the community and their work at the House.

But it's human nature to want to fall in love, and one by one, the masters begin to rebel.

One of the better slave-training books I've encountered. Slave Lucy is well written and superbly paced and the seamless use of flashbacks provides great insight into the protagonist's motivations.

Pet Lucy depicts a cruel and tender world where Lucy is presented with the path to her sexual liberation and self-discovery. Following Lucy on her path through S&M is erotically charged as well as innocent and vulnerable - describing the deep anxieties of romance and desire. Ms. Barry writes with such authority and honesty that she is able to make even the most extreme moments seem real, and painfully intimate. Her voice and talent are emphatically welcome in a society that continues to misunderstand this beautiful and empowering lifestyle. I can't wait to read the rest of the series!
