The pregnant Queen Celestine disappears from Ellavorn, while the city is under siege and completely locked down. Three Paladins, members of the Elite Royal Guard of the House of Arradon, are found days later. They are in three different places, kilometres away from Ellavorn. They have no memory of how they got to where they were found, or of the night the Queen disappeared.
The three Paladins, determined to fill the gaps in their memories, stumble upon an ancient secret, while they are reunited. They uncover a strange bond, binding them together to the perilous purpose they must fulfil.
Meanwhile, the Battle Commander, who lead the invasion of Ellavorn, must protect his deep secret of what happened that night, when he let the rightful heir to the Throne of Mirphen slipped through his fingers. To do this he will stop at nothing in his quest to find the Queen and prevent the Paladins from fulfilling their mission.
