Not bad but not much happened and I didn't like the main character. She needed a backbone and a sense of humour. Would probably be a good read for a divorcee with children at home who can identify with the situation

I kept waiting for something good to happen throughout the book. It was a good base story, separated mother trying to work, bring up 3 kids, gets lumbered with mother coming to stay, and tries her luck on dating websites, could have been a lot funnier. This is categorized as chick-lit but obviously should be cougar-lit. Not sure it's worth four stars but I want to err on the side of generosity.

Pretty well written though with some unfinished side plots, it concerns a woman who despite intelligence, education and looks runs into many hardships in life. It's all THEIR fault, of course—evil parents, evil siblings, a really evil husband, evil employers…

The reader may be forgiven, I think, for wondering if the problem starts closer to home. Yet for all that I still found it interesting.
