P.J. Leonard grew up in Worcester, UK. He moved to Japan in 2010 and has lived there ever since, enjoying the culture, the hiking, and the traditional Japanese sport of tussling for the free seat on the train every morning at rush hour.
He first found a love for writing aged nine, when he took what was meant to be a one-page short story assignment and turned it into a 10-page epic, much to the chagrin of his teachers. He's been writing ever since.

This is a cleverly thought-out, well-written story, with shades of DIckens's "A Christmas Carol" in the way in which the heroine, Sarah, is shown different versions of Christmas. Although Sarah is seven, the book may be best appreciated by slightly older children. Thought-provoking and fun.
