I was very disappointed! I couldn't wait to buy this book! I love May McGoldrick books but this book fell short of her usual quality! It was like it was a rough draft. Scenes were just placed throughout the book as if to come back later and smooth them out into the finished product. Also there was no development of deep love for each other between Sophie and Edward. She leaned on him a little to get through the fog of her amnesia and he helped her because he wanted her in his bed...period. About page 120, they began to think they loved each other... based on what, I saw no pzazz or earth shattering connection between them to even get to that point. I actually didn't even like Edward, he seemed shallow an undeveloped. Sophie was strong as all the heroines are in McGoldrick books but even she needed more development in the book. Like I said in the beginning of my review, it read like a rough draft... the book needed more polish to bring it together into a good read! If this book had been written by another author and if May McGoldrick wasn't one of my favorite authors, I wouldn't even have rated it a three star and believe me I wanted to rate this book a five star! I had to be honest for other readers sake! Not her best work!
