The Anzu: The Green Planet

Things are looking up for the Anzu and its crew. They have encountered a temperate planet with plenty of vegetation and water. In addition, it is inhabited by an advanced race of logical beings that just happens to be very ‘cute’. This is an ideal situation, isn’t it? Alec is not convinced, but his experience in space exploration is limited, after all he is just a human. More

About Mary S. Sheppard

I was born closer to space than most and spent most of my childhood in the Andes of Peru, 12,500 feet above sea level. It may account for my lifelong fascination with space. I studied to be an aerospace engineer and worked for NASA Ames where I met many astronauts who came to train on the Space Shuttle Simulation. (My character, Jett Keystone in The Feelings Are the Same series, does not depict any of them.).
Right now, I am enjoying writing and when the characters in my stories start taking a life of their own, I'm just here for the ride. I have three science fiction series:
A Where is Now Story - Set in the 2060s, Amy, a pharma-biologist travels to the 1890s to recover extinct plants that can be used for medicinal purposes. Although working in such times is difficult, people are similar, and romance can happen.
The Feelings Are the Same - When Suki is taken to an alien planet by the Neubulisskys she is concerned, but these aliens may be the ones with the more "human" feelings.
The Anzu – When the logical alien builders of the spaceship Anzu invited others, including a group of humans, to join them in the exploration of space, they could not have imagined that including such diversity would be the hardest part of their mission. These are short stories written as episodes.

About the Series: The Anzu
The mission of The Anzu was clear and simple, the exploration of space. The Zandu, the builders of the spaceship, were a highly advanced and logical race and they planned to include other species in their quest. Their intent was not only to learn from their travels, but also to learn from each other, they had not counted on how disparate intelligent beings could be.
