I was looking for a story to read my elderly mother and young, visiting niece, on a day of heavy rain and dark skies; when we were stuck inside the house, with the risk of flooding, at the start of the summer holidays. Then, I came across Mount St. Helen Trip by 99ranger.
My mother, a great fan of the British, James Herriot books about vet life, enjoyed this tale immensely. And my horse mad niece said that she felt that she was there, on that mountain, riding a horse. She also enjoyed the Indian mythology and the mention of Big Foot.
A pleasant time passed that afternoon, before we returned to the drum of the rain and the growing fear of rising waters.
