Review by: Brenda Perlin on Sep. 2, 2015 :
Fall into Winter is a collection of four very intriguing stories that are satisfying and each has a way of heating up any cool night. These erotic pieces are undeniably addicting and captivating. If you are looking to add some spice to your life I would like to introduce you to Author Eden Baylee. I discovered her by accident but have continued following her ever since. My little secret.

Seduced by the Blues is a spunky story about a radio promoter, Ella who meets a young man named John who grabs her attention. He was a bit cocky but the attraction was mutual and the flirting begins.

This is a very sensual, sexual story but at the same time there is a darkness. Sadness lurks as the undertone.

Quote ~

"His fingertips were calloused, likely from playing the guitar, and his hands were chafed but not rough. When he founded her, she felt the power behind the music he created and loved being hid instrument.”

Act Three is another smashing success. This novella reads like a breeze and keeps its reader enthralled all the way through. There is just something quite precious about this author's ability to take you far away. Most likely to a place you have never been. Allows you be present in places that would be off limits and private. She has a special talent of writing a fictional story that feels 100 percent authentic, emotional and as raw as a slice of life can get.

Act Three is erotic and filled with tension. The way it's done gives the story depth and is much more than just sex. It's captivating, powerful and gripping. I found myself tearing though the pages in record speed.

Quote ~

"Despite his eccentricities, he made her happy, and he was exactly what she wanted right now. Stella adored Norman, and she didn't think having a ménage a trois should conflict with that. She required him to be part of it and decided to bring up the subject again during dinner the next evening. She could usually talk him into anything using the right kind of persuasion."

Leah, a writer arrived at Cedar Valley, three hours north of Toronto during the week of Christmas to spend some time in luxury. When she meets Henrik, an expert marksman, the cabin begins to heat up.

This is a lustful story that leaves you guessing. An intriguing suspenseful romance that keep the fires burning.

Quote ~

"It was the first chance she had to see him in the daylight, and she noticed that his eyes were not the dark chocolate color she had initially thought. They were actually hazel with green flecks. She felt hypnotized by them for a moment and remembered her mother's words: There are differences-you just need to see them."

The Austrian and the Asian is a beautiful steamy escape to the unknown. Different cultures, scenery and backdrop makes for an exquisite adventure.

The author writes as if she is creating art. There is something simply poetic about her choice of words and how she puts them together like pieces of a puzzle. They fit perfectly together which makes reading her work a dream. There is an ease to her writing but also this art form that makes each sentence feel like a precious gem. I find her language inviting and luxurious. Sheer perfection.

The Austrian and the Asian is a lustful tale that I savored like a fine wine. Decadent!

"Elena had butterflies in her stomach. When his lips met hers again, he was unhurried and thorough. A storm brewed between them, and it was both painful and pleasurable for her to rediscover him. The yearning she felt for him was exquisite."

This book was a bit out of my realm of review criteria and I hesitated accepting it but I’m glad I did. It is erotica and it is a collection of short stories; just to let you know that right up front.

That being said, I enjoyed reading this book. The four stories were well written and, yes, full of sexual scenes but they, too, were well written. There were story lines for each of the four stories so it wasn’t just a matter of boy jumping into bed with girl, getting it on, and end of story.

Baylee made an attempt at creating believable characters and I think she did a pretty good job considering they are short stories. I’d like to see more by this author and an attempt to put together a full length book. I believe she definitely has to potential to create a good, ground shaking erotica book that will fly off the shelves.

I loved these stories, they painted a wonderful picture. Although the sex was the reason I started reading I found the storylines were what kept me reading....and made me want to read more. Can't wait to read the next one! x

I like anthologies of sex stories, but I don't normally see them by just one author. I decided to get this book because of the good reviews and I was happy I did.
Excellent plots and I always enjoy diverse characters. My favorite story was Act Three because I'm a screenwriter and it gave me some good ideas!

It’s very generous of Eden to include four novellas in her book Fall Into Winter. Many writers would have published it as four books and charged you the full price for each. Then they would have brought out two double novellas before finally publishing the quadruple novella anthology.

This is what modern book marketing experts recommend.

But Eden is very generous in lots of ways. She gives us four novellas at once and she gives a lot of herself in each of these four novellas. It’s this generosity that makes them special.

In The Asian and the Austrian there’s a character called Elena. When Elena tells the handsome Austrian that she has given up her job in banking to write erotica, he asks “These are stories about sex?”

“Not exactly,” Elena replies. “They’re not about sex, but they include it.”

Lots of novels and stories include sex. But in Elena’s stories the sex is very explicit and detailed. At least, it must be if her stories are anything like Eden’s.

Part of the thrill of reading Fall Into Winter is knowing, or imagining, that all of the female protagonists are really Eden. Eden in various thin disguises.

In the Austrian and the Asian the disguise is hardly there at all. Elena is Eden at her most naked, her most vulnerable, her most honest.

Because of this, it is a very touching story. Since I am also an Asian who has been to Austria, it is a story that I can very much relate to. The things Elena notices in Austrian culture are the things I noticed too. The sense of place is so strong that at times it is just like being there. And when you are reading erotica this good, that’s exactly the right place to be.

Elena’s observations about being an Asian woman in Thailand are also very accurate. You are not Thai but people treat you as if you are and expect you to behave in the same way. Both Elena and Eden are very good at fleshing out these background details that help develop the characters.

So I enjoyed these stories as stories and I enjoyed them as erotica. If Eden hasn’t already, I urge her to go and conspire intimately with one or two close-bosom friends so she has enough material for her next quadruple anthology. I understand the bees are already buzzing about the blossoms but I can hardly wait for the whistling of the redbreast so I can pluck more fruits from Eden’s bountiful garden.

I really loved these stories by Edan Baylee. They contained enough detail to keep me interested but not too much to steal the focus away from the characters. She did a wonderful job of integrating sex into the story as part of the plot and not an afterthought. “Seduced by the Blues,” would have to be my favorite, I adore the older woman/younger man scenario’s. I recommended this book to all who can handle hot sex wrapped up with an intriguing storyline, you are in for a great read.

My wife got this book as part of some promo and told me to read just one of the stories, so I did. I ended up reading them all. I had no idea about erotic writing and it was a surprise to me that Ms. Baylee wrote so well about sex-I mean she really doesn't hold back on the description of the sex scenes which I really liked. I also happen to be Norwegian, so that was my favorite story.
I have told my wife to keep a lookout for her next book.
