Trade is the vital lifeline of any nation’s financial health and longevity. The standard of living of its citizens and the overall well being of a country often hinges on the revenue generated by the exporting of their competitive advantage. The realization of the importance of trade revenue has led to a drastic decrease in tariffs and trade restrictions world wide in the second half of the 20th century. Based on this developing trend Canada, the United States of America and Mexico took actions to facilitate among their three countries. To accomplish this these countries established a leading edge agreement known as the North American Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
