The Architect of Regret
Abner Fain, the lead detective of New Zune is not a man of justice or in-justice. Besides having the good guys title he was definitely not a role model. Usually, he is on the hunt, not to save the day but to psychologically understand the villain. More
To be clear he's not a bad person; however, he cares more about figuring out the killer than making the killer pay the price of their crimes. Figuring people out and cigarettes is what usually gets him through the day. For being an 'intellectual,' you would think that logically he could quit smoking.
He's not the man with a plan considering he only makes them as a last resort. Instead of being a careful planner, he's a natural improviser. Not only staying calm in the worst of situations, but thriving in them.
Everything is fine; he wins the war every time. That is until an Architect, Hoyt Holler starts planning his attack. Pushing Abner past his limits as they clash in a psychological & literal war.
