Easy to follow, carefully detailed, traditional recipes for zacuscă, sarmale, mamaligă, chiftele, mititei, colivă, placinte, cozonac, etc. – the much beloved dishes I grew up with; lots of rustic, healthy, vegetable based recipes as well as more sophisticated meat dishes or fancy pastries; I liked that it includes estimated cooking time and specifies the traditional herbs used in flavoring Romanian dishes (ex. lovage ); a well received gift to my English speaking kids now able to continue the family tradition on their own .
A must for anyone interested in or curious about Romanian cuisine and culture.

Excellent bi-lingual book, exactly what I was looking for.
There are soups, stews, salads, traditional dishes, meat and fish recipes, all with the Romanian kitchen in mind.
I love being able to cook with the recipe in front of me on my Kindle. I made a couple of dishes and it was easy to follow instructions not to mention the result - fabulous!
I even bought it as a present for my Romanian friends!
