About Jill Marshall

Jill Marshall is a best-selling author, as well as a writing coach, editor and corporate communications specialist. Her middle-grade series about girl spy, Jane Blonde, originally published by Macmillan Children's Books UK, has sold hundreds of thousands of copies around the world, has featured as a World Book Day title and reached the UK Times Top 10 for all fiction.

Jill writes other series in this age group (Doghead, The Legend of Matilda Peppercorn, Stein & Frank) and also writes for the YA, adult fiction and picture book markets, for trade publishers like Macmillan, Penguin and Hachette and increasingly under the auspices of her own indie publishing venture. She is currently working on a collaborative multi-media platform for an exciting project.

As an authentic 21st century creative, Jill has a fascination and in-depth experience of all aspects to do with books and publishing, gleaned from being a trade-published author with a dozen years in the industry, an editor and manuscript assessor of over a thousand books and stories on behalf of individual and corporate clients, and an independent publisher producing books across all media (ebook, print-on-demand, audio and visual media including film/TV/AR).

Her overall aim is always to connect with her readers in the way that most floats their boat - if that's ebooks for you, you've come to the right place. Jill also loves chatting to readers in person and via email. Go to for more.
