Review by: Otto on March 13, 2017 :
Myke Edwards' alternative fantasy In the Pale Moonlight takes a slice of Middle American fly-over country and pits it against the agents of Hell. In what would seem an unlikely pairing of opponents, the reader gets to experience the dark side of humanity as well as the humanization of the supernatural. The result is a blurring of traditionally black and white perspectives. Even the damned need to stop and smell the roses. Even the righteous succumb to temptation. The attention to detail breathes life to the timeless fight between good and evil, reminding us it's not just the journey or destination--it's both.
