This novelette is set in the late Victorian Era in London, England. A woman by the name of Rosemary Eyre goes through the hardships of her own mind as her increasing insanity takes over. She traverses through her insanity in a coma-like state, all the while her love, Isadore Emerson, attempts to save her from herself, the doctors, and everything and anything that stands in his way. I Thirst For More Than Soil, told from both Rosemary's and Isadore's perspective, allows the reader to see into both of their minds during their inevitable doom. Will they reunite in a clouded dream-state of happiness? Or will they crumble into a catastrophic nightmare?
