About Mary Rae

Mary Rae is a writer and translator whose book, St. John of the Cross:Selected Poems, was originally published in 1991 by Longwood Academic, and is now available in a revised, illustrated version. Mary was editor-in-chief of Romantics Quarterly for several years, having taken over from founder, the late Kevin Roberts. Her poetry has been published in many journals, and her poem "Season" won first prize in The Raintown Review's 2001 poetry contest.
