About Tony Thorne MBE

I am an Englishman, born and technically educated in London, England, and now living in Austria; but in the winter, in the warmer Canary Island of Tenerife. I originally qualified as a Chartered Design Engineer and subsequently created a well-known British company (now American owned) specialising in Applied Physics products.

For developments in the field of low temperature (cryo)surgery instruments, and very high temperature (carbon fibre) processing furnaces, the Queen awarded me an MBE.
Earlier in life I also wrote and sold science-fiction and humorous stories, was an active SF Fan, and a spare time lecturer for the British Interplanetary Society.

After many interesting occupational adventures, including the development of AI computer software for business applications, and animated computer graphics set to music, I am now a writer of quirky speculative fiction; mostly tall Science Fiction and Macabre tales, with over 100 short stories published in various collections. My first novel,Points of View, was published in 2012 by Eternal Press, Santa Rosa, CA, and I have just completed my second SF novel, "POINTS OF VIEW - The Weapons" ... The trilogy is for general readers, but especially young adults ..!

I loved this book immensely. It is one of the best collections of short horror tales I have ever read. Each one is as good as the last and I can not say I had a favorite because I loved them all. Every one of them scared me but in such a wonderful way. This book is packed full of intrigue, mystery and kept me reading. The characters in each story are so compelling and real and made it a blast to read. The attention to details is wonderful and very vivid and sent me into each one. It is well written and easy to stay with and hard to put down. Tony Thorne is a brilliant writer and I want more, more, more! I strongly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.
