About Brandalyn Gill

Brandalyn Gill, the eighteen year old self-published author and CEO, grew up in Northwest Houston and began writing books when she was nine years old. A talent that was originally a creative gift used for self-expression soon grew into a divine passion, as she reached her teenage years. After graduating from high school at fifteen and starting college, Brandy decided to share her passion with anyone who would listen, by performing for her church members at the House of Hope Fellowship. After being turned down by various short-story writing contests, Brandalyn decided to grant dignity back to her work by combining her poems and short stories into a well-accepted book of her own. Just after her sixteenth summer, she finished her greatest literary work to date, "Life". She has established her own publishing label, Illumination Literary Publishing Company and published her book on December 12th, 2010, on which day she hosted her own book release party open to the city of Houston. She is now pursuing her junior year of her bachelor's degree in the study of Finance (with a minor in Management) at the University of Houston and pursuing motivational speaking engagements for the betterment of people of all ages. She has spoken at Project Row House, Dwight D. Eisenhower’s 2011 19th Battalion ROTC Ball, Naima Singletary’s 2011 Female Power Conference, Shantera Chatman’s 2011 4th Annual Women’s Empowerment Conference at the Reliant Center Houston; she has been featured on Fox 26 News “Dr. Delaigraentiss Presents…” television Show, Sir Nemesis Truth’s “People’s Politics” television show, the front cover of The African American News and The Prairie View Panther Newspaper. She has attended and been featured at a cornucopia of venues in Houston’s poetry community; she has had several book signings in the Houston area; she is featured all over the internet by Google; her book is now available in printed, audio, and electronic book format mostly everywhere on the internet books can be sold. She is now working on a play featuring the last story in her debut title, “I Am Only A Man”; and she is just getting started. Everything Brandy ever had and everything she is working for, started with a dream and now she strives to inspire other people - young and old - to shoot for the stars or hold tight to the rocket ship until the mission is complete.....
