About Bruce Lewis

Bruce Lewis earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and was then accepted to the Copley Newspaper Editorial Training Program, a 9-month intensive at 6 newspapers, before joining the staff of the Daily Review in Burbank. During his journalism career, which concluded at the Contra Costa Times (now the East Bay Times), Lewis wrote more than 5,000 news and feature stories and won a half dozen professional awards for writing excellence.

After leaving the Contra Costa Times, he became a media and government relations representative and consultant for Kaiser Permanente before accepting the position of public relations manager for McKesson Corp. After seven years at McKesson, he joined Gary Summers in launching Lewis & Summers Public Relations, a San Francisco Bay Area firm that flourished for 25 years.

Lewis is now retired and living with his wife in Portland, Oregon. He is working on his first novel.
