About Alyssa Raffaele

Alyssa Raffaele is an award-winning teacher and author. Alyssa earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona,and Master of Education degree from the University of New Haven, CT. Her certifications include Reading K ~ 12, Language Arts 6 ~ 12, ESOL K ~12 in Florida, and she is certified as a Humane Education Specialist with the Humane Society of America. She was the recipient of the 2007 Literacy Teacher of the Year award from the Sarasota Reading Council, and served as President of that Council in 2012. Her first novel, United Seventh Grade, was published in 2010.
