I love this book. The themes it explores are very relevant and its approach is fun and imaginative. My five year old really enjoyed it and I enjoyed reading it to him, and talking about the issues raised as we went along. It helped us to talk about those issues, using Charlie as the reference point, rather than my child. Because we are in Australia, and this is an U.S. book, the subtle differences in vocabulary also evoked conversation about how the English language can be different in the different countries where it is spoken. I really recommend this book.
