A poignant memoir of suffering, betrayal and self discovery beautifully told with an air of gentleness and dignity. This work demonstrates how perseverance and self belief can overcome even the darkest of situations to result in positivity, light and goodness.
Despite the sadness of the content, I felt a comforting sense of calm throughout and could not put it down. Visiting the Girl is a joy to read.

Aoife's story is proof that healing can happen, even after the worst of traumas. And not just healing but that joy and inspiration and wisdom can follow too. There are parts of this story that are very painful to read, yet because of Aoife's strength and honesty in telling her story, you too have the courage to read it and to listen to her story without averting your eyes or wanting to avoid the 'messier' parts. Overall it is a beautiful story: a tale of courage and compassion and so very well worthwhile to read.

I read this book in one sitting. The process that Aoife has discovered is inspired and whole making. Thank you Aoife for leading the way on the path of healing that is so needed by all of humanity and also thank you for giving this gift of healing to our Mother the Earth. The book is so clear and heart opening. I carry this story within me now and am so grateful to know you Aoife.

A beautiful book. Every line is filled with integrity and courage and truth. Though much of it is heart-shatteringly sad, it is run through with hope, like a golden thread. There is much here to inspire.
