I live on a small island just off a larger island off the coast of North America where I write romance, sci-fi, and fantasy/adventure for a wider audience.
What's my super power? I'm a storyteller, an entertainer. As you begin to read my words the stress of the day, nay, the stress of everyday, begins to magically fade away. Transported into another world, your worries and troubles are forgotten for a time as you share adventures with me and my friends. My art, my power is as old as humankind, for the magic of the storyteller has ever been with us and it will always be.
I am a spiritual seeker, dog trainer, official Reiki Master and Interior designer, who has turned her hand to writing. I am also an avid chess player, not a great one, but an avid one. I bake, I build, I knit, and I tell great stories.
I have roamed far and wide for over sixty years in this realm, and I have seen much; some I wish I had not, and a great deal that I would love to see again. Some days I feel like Bilbo Baggins, for I have been there and come back again.
No, I haven't written a book about my wanderings, at least not yet, but much I have experienced, observed, learned, surmised, or imagined, is woven into the tales I have written.
Folks, if you take the time to write a review for me, please leave me a way to contact you so I can thank you properly. If you prefer to remain anonymous, then let me thank you right now. Thanks!!

I was captivated by this story from the first few pages I read. I found the saying by the character Maggie to be timeless gems. The idea of deliberately choosing to grow in love with someone who is not from your comfort zone is believable. If one is in an emotional place where every previous relationship has ended in failure it is easy to see how someone would consider trying the opposite of what they know. Prudence Mac Leod wove a beautiful story in Deliberate Love and I for one found the book very believable and would recommend it to everyone to read especially if like me you are tired of failing relationships, this books lets you see there are option outside the box if you willing to take a chance.

This book is well written and edited. I liked the setting in Edinburgh / Canada and the characters. Two things I didn't like: first the implication that if you set your mind to it you can change being gay/straight. I am sure that there is much more fluidity between the two extremes than most are prepared to admit (although the McKinsey studies were quite clear about it), but since fundamentalists esp. in the US go to extreme lengths on this position and hurt people I would have liked a bit more complexity on this question. Secondly, this was all sweet, easy romance without any hassle and tension. I get the point that the author wants to promote but still life happens and it is not always only sweet and easy. Esp. in a novel I would like to see some "dramatic" development - it doesn't need to be drama.
And BTW this novel takes the lesbian u-haul-joke to a new level.

Thank you for such a wonderfully written book! I have sent the demo to some family in hopes that they will learn some of the pearls of wisdom scattered throughout your novels and find true happiness with another person. I have to confess, I am hooked on your stories. I've read most of them now and they have really brightened up my life. You have a wonderful upbeat and positive overtone to your stories that leaves a person feeling happy and full of a desire to love everyone. Thanks again!
