Review by: S.J. Hermann on April 7, 2017 :
This is the first book I've read by Ken Fry and it won't be the last. This is a very interesting short story about a man who vows never to walk in his parents footsteps.
As a child, Jim lived in a broken home, where his mom and dad were constantly at each others throats.
This causes Jim to wait until he is financially and emotionally secure to settle down with the girl he loves, Emmeline, who is younger than him. All is fine until Jim suspects that Emmeline is having an affair. His worse fears are realized and it sends him into a blind rage.
That's about as far as I will go into the book, for this is one that you will want to pick up. It's suspenseful, has a great twist, and the writing is impeccable.

A fantastic short read! I'm anticipating the author's other books here on smashwords. The ending left me wondering and scratching my head. Read it.
