Chasing Shadows

Being mistaken for a prominent Chicago area hooker is downright disconcerting, especially when there's a chance it might be true. This sort of situation would be easier for Meegan to take, if she wasn't also plagued by spooks, ghosts, and a total lack of impulse control. More

Great story! I really couldn't wait to see what would happen next. The protagonists are appealing, and the villains are dastardly. The actions of the characters make sense from their points of view, and the flow of the story is consistent with what they knew at the time. The pacing of the novel is also excellent. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

Review by: Laura Elizabeth Evans on Aug. 04, 2011 :
Chasing Shadows is a exciting read. It joins together the thrill of the paranormal and the mystery of the unknown in such a way that you find yourself caught up in the world of Meegan Jones. We've all seen things out of the corner of our eye, jumped at shadows, and had dreams that seemed so real we couldn't shake them. The main character was easy to relate to and more realistic than most fictional characters. She reacts to situations with the intelligence that most female characters in fiction seem to lack. As the plot unfolded I found myself unable to put it down. I wanted to know what would happen next. The characters are well rounded and diverse, all with their own distinct voice and mannerisms.
