About the Series: Basically Nothing Happens Around Our House Until I Take My Mom From Behind
I don’t know what my mom's deal was but she was never around. Or, more like, always around. In her room. Smoking. Drinking. Cussing. Watching TV. Our mom was basically the pissy woman in mom’s room.

By the time I was 18-years-old, with everything basically falling on me, basically raising my seven little brothers and sisters, I was absolutely rundown. And the mornings were the worst. If I could get them all washed and dressed and fed and out the door, it was a minor miracle. And it took so much out of me, I barely had the strength to do it for myself. And it certainly didn’t help, that, basically, the whole time I could hear my mom in her room. Smoking. Drinking. Cussing. Watching TV.

And that’s, basically, the way it was.

That is, until, one day, I had enough and decided I was willing to do anything, go to any length, in order to finally get my mom out of whatever rut she was in and back into this family, at least in some capacity, contributing, somehow someway. And I mean anything.
