was born in Nigeria and I have spent all the good and the bad years of my life in the country particularly in the Northeast part of the country. The hotbed for BOKO HARAM nefarious operations. Prior to the emergence of BOKO HARAM, we lived peacefully and everybody was part of the community which abodes hundreds of families. We lived a communal life we my problem is the problem of my neighbor. If we do not have food, we would not go hungry because there was always a neighboring family that is ready to share its food with us. Truly the community was not so developed but we do not lack basic amenities and If there was something we enjoyed so much, it was peace.
However, with the emergence of BOKO HARAM, we now know no peace. Brothers can no more trust each other and families no more share food together. Now u are always on your own. In this crisis, I lost my father and there was a time I spent more than six days in the bush in order to escape bullent or IED. Now things are falling apart.
Truly the situation is hard as many small children are dying of hunger, some exposed to sexual assault and diseases, but what is so painful is the twisted story about the emergence of the group. What is so painful is that no one has been punished. People have dead and some are still dying either of hunger or explosion but no one is taking responsibility. But this is the story of BOKO HARAM. The emergence of the nefarious group, the second most deadly group after al-Qaeda and its political dimension.
