About T.R.U.T.H.

Her given name was Colleen Thompson but was dubbed the nickname Truth by her teachers and schoolmates after being the lead in a play entitled, A Woman Called Truth; depicting the life of the former slave and abolitionist, Sojourner Truth.

Jamaican born, T.R.U.T.H. immigrated to the United States at the age of ten and has since resided in Florida.

Though writing had always been her passion, she had never sought to publish. Still, she continued to create a myriad of poems, musical lyrics, monologues, and narratives. It was not until the day she came across a woman she now calls her guardian angel, that she was inspired to write her memoirs and pursue her life-long dream of being a published author.

She has since changed her name to reflect her rebirth of spirit, gratitude for her guardian angel, and her new path to self-purpose.

Her upcoming work include

Quoetry: Words of Truth
(Summer 2017)

Ballad of a Slave: The Ugly Truth
(Summer 2018)

Review by: Jeannette Guillaume on May 30, 2017 :
This is a real coming of age story that grips your heart as you read the first few pages.
As a young girl, the author lived through so much tragedy and constant heart break; I wanted to reach in the book and give her a hug!
I wanted to tell her she mattered!
I couldn't stop reading because I had to see the turn of events that saved her from not only the people around her but from her own self destruction.
Finally, it paid off!

The rest of the book was motivating. I found myself cheering her on as she finds redemption and peace.

I love how the author welcomes the reader into her own healing as well. It's like you feel that you were being healed too. Not to mention the person who became her hero and saved her from suicide. How that individual taught her to be a better person throughout all areas of her life was truly remarkable. The author gives quotes and poems which are gems that are thought provoking.

For a triumphant story of a young girl who suffered heartbreak and loss to a woman who found spiritual healing , please read this book.
