About Basil E. Bacorn

Basil E. Bacorn is a slightly busy seventeen-year-old archery-shooting, viola-playing, potato-judging, sheep-owning, author/artist in 4-H, Student Council, Science Olympiad, and the NHS. Attending Athens Area High School, Basil spends his free time writing, drawing, designing, and marketing. Influenced to write by his love of books and Broadway, Basil actively supports the type of entertainment that impacts, or as he calls it, “entertainpaction.” Basil, partial to the fantasy genre, is currently working on his Dark's Descent Series and his play, Conscience. The Dark's Descent Series is the series of books that tells the story of teen sorceress Cassie Smith who after finding out she is adopted, and her mother is an evil sorceress from another realm, decides to try and be a hero despite the incredible darkness she inherited from her birth mother. This plot came to Basil’s mind during a week of boredom during the summer after he broke his back, and with it was Basil’s rekindled love of writing. His works now include Dark’s Descent, Sealing Death, and The Circle’s Problem as well as upcoming works including Everlanon Heirs and Conscience. Hopes for a future in writing are what fuel Basil’s drive. In the long run, Basil's goals include spreading entertainpaction, attending college, and of course – writing! Until then, you can find him on social media and his blog, keeping in touch with the public.
