A Crime of Honor is a very well written story of intrigue and betrayal, of honor and justice. The story builds throughout the pages and chapters. The authors allow you to get to know the characters early and I found myself quickly respecting and liking the main two characters Surr and Keira. They are strong and make clear their intentions along with the reasons behind them. The suspense of the story as to how they will accomplish the task and if they will succeed draw you in so that you will finish the read in the first sitting. I will definitely be looking for more from these two up and coming authors.

A Crime of Honor was a well-written, wonderfully imaginative fantasy novella. Surr is a complex character and thoroughly enjoyable. The story itself is an engaging and satisfying read. Highly recommended.

A well written, interesting, and gripping short story. I was interested to see how it ended and the parts in the middle led to the end without any confusion or straying from the path. I think anyone who is interested in fantasy and is looking for a quick read will be interested in this story.

In an asian-inspired country, High-Prince Surr must make the dangerous journey to the Inner Kingdom to assassinate Emperor Sarizen. The task is difficult, and could cost Surr everything, but if he doesn't accomplish his goal, the Emperor's hatred may cause irreparable damage to the nation.

The author did an excellent job imbuing setting and character in such a short story. You get a sense of the magic that runs through the land (we start out in a burning forest that is never consumed) and the stakes for Surr (as he remembers the promises he made to his family).

The action is reminiscent of Asian movies, like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon or The Forbidden Kingdom. An enjoyable short read for fantasy and Asian fiction lovers.
