Jane Plitt has blazed new paths all her life. As a labor relations professional, she opened up the field in Rochester, NY to women. As a civil rights advocate she helped open up "Men's only grills" to women, eliminated help wanted male/female ads in NY State newspapers, and integrated the Rochester Jaycees, a young men's only group, that led to the integration of all service groups (Rotary, Lions, Kiwanis, etc) to women.
As a researcher and writer, Plitt uncovered the extraordinary tale of Martha Matilda Harper, transforming her life and others from servant girl to franchising creator/owner. Because of Plitt, Harper has now been recognized as one of 60 entrepreneurs who "Made America." Harper also created the model of how to use business for social change. Harper has been inducted into the National Women's Hall of Fame.
Plitt herself has been listed in Who's Who for decades and is a Cornell University graduate. She is a compelling speaker on Harper, wellness, and business innovation. She and her husband have raised two extraordinary children and delight that they have married extraordinary mates.
