Killing Time

Killing Time is a novel about software development that's based on real people, places, devices, and events such as the newly elected U.S. President firing the FBI Director. The story combines technologies from robots to rockets and locations from Seattle to space, with wry comment on the contemporary social and political scene. And it's up to readers to decide what's real and what's fictional. More

About Phil Pearl

After a successful career as a subsurface oil and gas well surveyor, mostly in the Middle East where I established a new office for Scientific Drilling Controls, I moved to the United States and began developing computer software.

Projects included an emergency call-out system for the Salt Lake International Airport and work on the FBI undercover sting, 'Operation Disconnect'.

In 2000 I decided to focus on Web development, and worked for corporations such as Microsoft and Wells Fargo bank. And then in 2017 I wrote the novel 'Killing Time'; about intrigue in the software industry.
