INCONSPICUOUS I - Great adventures in magic realms
A poor leprechaun sets out to find his treasure, flying around the world in an improvised hot air balloon and meeting legendary and historical figures. He introduces himself as a dwarf, because he is ashamed of being poor, so it is up to his newly acquired friends to help him rediscover himself, even at the cost of redirecting his journey... More
Dimmy discovers, soon after his birth by the rainbow’s end, that his only belonging is the copper pot in which he first woke up. Disappointment makes him lie about his identity, as he befriends the insects that populate the area.
Soon enough, he realizes he should retrieve the gold that, he suspects, has been stolen by people. And since people are nowhere in his vicinity and the insects advise him to find another one of his kind to ask for advice, he steals a rainbow and ties it to his copper pot, beginning a magnificent adventure.
With the help of a cloud that carries his peculiar balloon and the wind, he first travels to a castle where a beautiful girl locked in the tower gives him a map. Together, they discover why Ann was confined in the cold, lonely attic and Dimmy’s spider, Padraig Web, decides to abandon the journey to stay with her.
Dimmy continues his search on his own, floating to the forest marked on the map, where a druid and his albino bat tell him a riddle that is supposed to bring upon them a massive treasure. What they don’t know is that the game involves the awakening of the Tree of Knowledge, which is not particularly fond of living creatures, especially people.
The leprechaun manages to decrypt the riddle, and the Tree of Knowledge attacks them, softening only upon Judge Winder’s intervention. The great treasure they receive is a glowing golden seed which they choose to plant in Dimmy’s copper pot.
Leaving the castles, spirits and druids of Ireland behind, both Dimmy and the albino bat, Claude, float to the Isle of Man. The legendary sea god Manannan saves them from the vicious Irish Sea, introducing them to the fairy people who tie Claude and rob Dimmy.
Rescued by Phynnoddereh, Dimmy finds that, under the fallen fairy’s magic touch, his seed had grown into a talking tree that soon comes to know the most peculiar things and together they decide to follow their instinct to the mythical Hy-Brasil. The leprechaun's journey must complete a prophecy with the help of a wizard on the other half of the legendary hidden island, although he does not know it.
