About Cynthia Luhrs

Cynthia Luhrs is the author of the ghostly Shadow Walker novels, the Merriweather Sisters and Thornton Brothers Time Travel novels set in medieval England and a new thriller There Was A Little Girl. She grew up reading every book she could get her hands on. The librarian knew her by sight with her stack of books piled high on the counter. A military brat, she was always the new kid in school but made friends quickly over the love of a good book. Her idea of a perfect day is no interruptions and the freedom to live in her head all day, writing the next book, an icy beverage next to her as both tiger cats sit on the keyboard and demand treats.

This box set contains 2 nail biting psychological thrillers. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

There was a little girl
7 year old Katherine Hope Jones experiences a horrifying traumatic event when her father murdered both her mother and her beloved pet dog Max. She is raised by her loving grandparents and lives normal life for years. She has a good job and Jackson her loving boyfriend. Then after witnessing the aftermath of animal cruelty, darkness rises in her psyche. She becomes a serial killer: murdering people that committed vile acts of animal cruelty. Her life spirals uncontrollably resulting in the loss of things and people that kept her on an even keel. Someone is watching her and he knows what she’s done.

When she was bad
The hitman gave Hope a chance to stop killing and live a new life; or else he’d kill her. She lives comfortably on her inheritance money and befriends a neglected child. Her new job at the supermarket keeps her occupied. Her darkness is under control until she realises the conspiracy right under her nose. She falls off the wagon and kills again drawing the wrath of a powerful enemy. Yet her kindness to the underprivileged children shows that she’s not totally lost to the dark side. The hitman shows up again and his choice this time will again change Hope’s life.
