The Book of Lilliana: A Devil's Misfortune Novel
In the Hall of Records, everyone who has taken a breath had it recorded and stored away until their day of Judgement. Some stories take precedence over others. Lilliana Norland, a girl with an interesting legacy, faces demons, warlocks, and makes her way through the Void. Most people don't want to go to hell, for Lilliana, it's her destination! More
In the Book of Lilliana, after the introduction that explained her illegal conception and the death of her mother, Grace Norland, ten years have passed before Lilliana wakes from the sleeping spell she was placed under by Lucifer’s personal warlock: Jean Braxton. She finds herself carrying around memories that were inserted into her mind and living in a realm fabricated by dark magic and inhabited by demons that know the truth about what she is—a Nephilim (half angel-half mortal). Just as she begins to fall for the man Jean pretended to be, the spell is broken by her father—Archangel Michael and she portals to the Secondary Realm after being terribly wounded. There, she has a rather rude awakening by Lucifer’s eldest son, Nathaniel Alaric, who claims to want to help her but carries a secret of his own and his personal band of misfit demons.
Through the course of a few months, Lilliana Norland had been sexually harassed by Lucifer’s wildly disrespectful son, attacked by demons, tortured, trained to defend herself like an angel, surprised by the feelings she developed for Nathaniel and his incredible lack of personal boundaries. But, just as everything started to run smoothly for the first time in her life, Jean Braxton reappeared and stole her happiness by pushing Lilliana to rip out his heart. Ultimately causing her to be summoned to heaven by the Council of Archangels where they sentence her to the Tearing—a ritual where the Archangels burn the wings of an angel, place the mark of the beast on their body and condemn their soul to hell. By the time, Lilliana returned to her body, she was empty, emotionless shell of what she once was. And thus, decided that she would rather not be around the people she used to care about. She couldn’t bring herself to stick around and pretend.
That was how she ended up meeting the youngest son of Lucifer, Greyson Morningstar. He was a heavily tattooed beauty who took off with her to the Primary Realm after imprisoning Nathaniel and killing his old caretaker—Everett. Once through the portal, Greyson wiped Lilliana’s memories of his brother, making her more inclined to agree to his marriage proposal—on the condition that he never lies to her—and more susceptible to his murderous intentions. Immediately after they wed, Lilliana followed through with Greyson’s plans to force the Gates of Hell open by killing six-hundred and sixty-six God fearing mortals. And while Lilliana received a visit from a sorceress and her familiar who tried to expose Greyson’s lies, and was cursed by the angels to see the souls of everyone she killed for eternity, Lilliana completed her mission and ventured into hell with her husband. The book finishes after they meet a demon, Amanda, who ushers them into the ferry that will take them to the first chamber.
