The Camera

World War One, Father Michael Leauvin must go to the front for a rotation in Verdun, France. His odd hobby of taking pictures takes a turn from photos of nature to photos of the wounded, the dying and the dead. About Michael S. Lachance

My latest eBook, "The Long Short", has a little to do with my grandma, travel and adventure. I like the idea of going to a remote island, hunting for clues and, perhaps, finding treasure. But, how to start the adventure and what about the characters? Bill and Claire can't stand each other, but they'll need one another to survive.

My eBook, "The Camera", evolved out of a trip to Verdun, France where World War One devastated the landscape and the people. "The Camera" is about a priest who has a camera and takes pictures of the dead and dying in World War One. He's got to decide where his love lies, with Christ or a woman, Sophie, while at the front in Verdun, 1916.

I published "McKinney Sweetlock and The Revolt Against the New World Soldier". I love this story and I love my character. Though I heard to do otherwise, McKinney speaks in slang; I didn't want to have him start off in slang and then switch to standard English for the sake of what's recommended; that's the way he talks. He's a great guy and the like of none around.

My first story may not be a hit yet, but it got my feet wet and helped me to get a feel for what's out there in the eBook world.

Thank you for reading my stories!

Michael
