Vicious Circle Volume One

Rated 5.00/5 based on 8 reviews
My blogs serve to discuss matters that are developed further in my books. I prefer to present my illustrations, or arguments, in a fictional form. Judging by my reviewers, some readers are not sure if they are reading fact or fiction. And that is as it should be. After all, facts are often stranger than fiction, and the Universe is more strange than we can imagine. More

About Stanislaw Kapuscinski (aka Stan I.S. Law)

Architect, sculptor and prolific writer. His special interests cover a broad spectrum of arts, sciences, and philosophy. His fiction and non-fiction attest to his particular passion for the scope and the development of Human Potential. He authored more than thirty books, twenty of them novels, under the pen name Stan I.S. Law.

His life attests that his View of Reality leads to success and happiness. A refugee from Poland at 13, then at 33, having overcome the difficulties of schooling in a foreign language, he left England for Canada in search of new horizons. Later his family scattered, his house burned to the ground, the firm—where he worked for many years—bankrupt… he began his search for the secret of life. Now he is a successful writer, happily married for 25 years, with an assured future.

If you suspect you are more than flesh and bones, read Stan Law. If you want to be sure, read Stanislaw Kapuscinski.

It is not often that an author shares with us the thinking behind his novels. Non-fiction is self-evident, but I often wondered what motivated Stan Law to write the sort of novels which do not really fit into any genre. His worldview is just too broad to fit into any category. Now, thanks to this collection, I begin to know why. Read the blogs. They’re worth it.

This author never ceases to amaze me, although usually, he does so with his fiction, under the pen name Stan Law. This new collection serves not only to remind me of a number of his books I read but if belatedly, to explain the motivation behind some of his them. Whether or not you read Law’s fiction, this is a wonderful collection which will encourage you to do so. Recommended.

What pleasure it is to browse through the many blogs, finding echoes of one’s own thoughts defined here with such clarity. It seems that the author is right. The knowledge is within us, and all we need is periodic reminding that it is there.
Thank you, Mr. Kapuscinski.

This is the first time that I found pleasure in re-reading the various chapters, or blogs, a number of times. They are clear, concise, terse, yet define the subject matter with marvelous clarity. And I found the occasional pinch of humor equally as delightful. I recommend this collection to everyone.

Having read a number of historical novels, I never realized the magnitude of research required. What I admired the most was that Stan Law (aka Stanislaw Kapuscinski) in his “Peter & Paul” attached importance not only to historical events but even more so, to the character of the protagonists involved, digging deep into their spiritual motivations for their actions.
A most extraordinary work.
Aspiring writer or not, the collection is most recommended. The blogs that follow give substance to the need of Secular Ethics. I trust they will motivate like minds to take Mr. Kapuscinski’s work even further. Five stars.

I have been playing with the idea of writing a historical novel, covering the fall of the Roman Empire. Research that the author did for “Peter & Paul” gave me some idea of the magnitude of work ahead of me. Yet having read his novel (some time ago), I recall having been transported to the Roman times, as though rubbing shoulders with the Romans.
Now I see that there is much more to a good historical novel than just history. One must enter the mental and emotional states of people of that day. A very valuable lesson. Thank you.

I followed these blogs as they had been written on the Internet, yet here, compiled together, my pleasure is multiplied, as though revisiting old friends. I hope Mr. Kapuscinski will continue to arrange his blogs in a book form, so that we can all benefit from his acquired knowledge, without having to scan years of Internet posting. Definitely a 5 STAR collection. And good luck to the historical novelists. Some valuable lessons here!

I have been following Mr. K. and his blogs for two years. I am delighted that I can now re-examine earlier blogs in my own time, without an extensive search on the Internet. I do hope he will do the same with his later postings.
I only go back to 2015, and I’m sure that there are more pearls of wisdom he had to share with us earlier. This is the great thing about his blogs, he doesn’t preach, he shares!
I find particularly interesting his desire to search for Secular Ethics. I recall Dalai Lamas words that we are in great need of them. Thanks again, Mr. Kapuscinski.
