Excerpt from The Horse Fucker - Part 4: The Prince of Darkness:
“Where do you think you’re going?” asked the Shetland pony. I froze, mid-step. After a brief moment of hesitation during which I considered making a run for it, I spun back around.
“Nowhere,” I said nonchalantly as I strolled back toward the group of stallions. From that moment on, the Shetland pony kept a close eye on me, making all chances of escape impossible.
It took a good fifteen minutes, but the stallions that had left in pursuit of Stud finally returned. Stud was not with them.
“Where is he?” growled the Prince of Darkness.
It took a while before one of the steeds worked up the nerve to speak.
“He escaped,” he said, his voice a mere whisper.
“Incompetents!” he snarled. “All of you!” He turned his back on the horse that had given him the bad news and kicked. The poor animal went down hard. He was still breathing, but he was out cold. The other equines took a step back, but the Prince of Darkness ignored them. He paced and snorted, his hooves lifting up dirt.
I dared not move, let alone speak. Unfortunately, the longer I waited, the slimmer my chances of attaining freedom. Still, it took a few minutes before I worked up the nerve to speak. By then, the Prince of Darkness had calmed down.
“Can I go?” I asked. “You don’t need me anymore.”
Everyone looked at me. I had never felt this small in my entire life. One kick from any of them would have been enough to kill me, and they knew it. Still, none of them made a move.
“Why should I let you leave?” asked the Prince of Darkness. His voice was cold as ice.
I swallowed hard.
“Because Stud betrayed us both,” I said. “He tricked me into stealing the orb for him. And now he’s abandoned me.”
The Prince of Darkness took a moment to consider this. I prayed he wouldn’t figure out I was lying. If he suspected Stud and I were still working together, he would not hesitate to take his anger out on me.
“You’re right…” he finally agreed. I breathed a sigh of relief. “…but that doesn’t mean you can’t still be of use to me.”
My heart skipped a beat.
“I-I don’t understand,” I stuttered, growing more anxious by the second.
“Allow me to explain,” he said, his lips curled into a vicious smile. “Stud may have betrayed you, yet he clearly cares for you. That means we can use you as bait.”
Dammit! I silently swore. It seemed as though Stud’s plan had backfired. Or so I thought until the Prince of Darkness spoke again.
“Unfortunately,” continued the black stallion, “there is no guarantee Stud will attempt a rescue. As such, you may very well be useless to me. But I am a businessman, and that means I do not like feeling like I have been cheated.”
“What are you trying to say?” I asked.
The Prince of Darkness smiled.
“I am willing to release you,” he said, “but first you must do something for me.”
“What exactly do you have in mind?”
His lips curled into a smile. That was a bad sign.
“I hear you’re quite a skilled lover. I have never been with a human. Have sex with me, and you’re free to go.”
