About Sewa Sohal

My name is Sewa Singh Sohal and it had been my dream since leaving the Panjab for the UK in the 1960’s to write a history of Atta, my village, as a permanent memory for anyone with family from Atta, as well as anyone else who may have an interest.

The first 5 versions of this book were written in Panjabi in paperback format with the original version going back to 2008. Copies of this book have been made available at no cost on request to hundreds of people across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, Italy and of course the UK. Over the past decade or so, there have been ongoing requests for an English translation of the book, to enable those more comfortable with English to access the information. This e-book has therefore been created to meet these requests and will be available again for free for those that wish to read it.
