LOVE AMONG THE ARIAS is a sexy romp through the world of grand opera. About Mark Warhus

Hi. I have been writing seriously for the past 12 years. Ever since the publication of "Another America: Native American Maps and the History of Our Land," back in 1997. "Love Among the Arias" started out as part of a larger novel, but became a piece of its own as the story grew. I do happen to appreciate Opera - at least Puccini and a few others - plus serious music. I have had a long fascination with the Catholic Saints, which you will see in my upcoming publication of "Follow the Bones." Besides that, the usual married, kids, live in Milwaukee, have a day job I love (Thank God as there is no way to make money with writing). Ask your questions on my facebook pages. Check back for more writing to come.

Review by: Jennifer Ondrejka on March 18, 2012 :
Although the basic situation is highly unlikely, Warhus made it believable through deft use of detail and connection to real situations. The characters' personality quirks, in particular, could be drawn from life. It's a quick and entertaining read.

I always enjoy it when an author takes me to a place I know little about. This story did that for me, transported me to the rarified world of opera lovers and singers. The contrast between David's ho-hum life and the heady, sophisticated (yet ruthless) one of the Russian opera singer Anya is stark. They are indeed an odd couple. This is a satisfying read about how a chance encounter (or, in this case, an out and out diva stalking) can transform everything in an instant.
