Devi Nangrani: Born in 1941 in Karachi (India Then), a resident of Mumbai, now living in New Jersey. She writes in her mother tongue Sindhi, Hindi and English in prose and poetry. In 2009, her English Poetry book ‘Journey’ was published. As a Ghazal writer she has three books in Sindhi and four in Hindi “Charag-E-Dil, Dil se Dil Tak, Lau Darde-Dil ki and Sahan-E-Dil” in 2016. Her poems and ghazals are published in anthologies and known magazines of USA, Oslo, Canada, NJ, Denmark. She is awarded by NCPSL for sindhi book “Ud ja panchi” in 2009. From last four years she has been translating Stories and Poems from Sindhi to Hindi and vice versa that are compiled and published in 8 books. Also Translated Rumi from Masnavi, Attiya Dawood’s Poetry in Hindi (2016), and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s poetry in Sindhi language (2017). She has been honored and awarded in New York, New Jersey, Oslo, Chennai, Raipur, Jodhpur, Delhi, Lucknow, Dharwaad-Karnataka, Kolkota, Goa, Kerala, NCPSL, different national and international Academies. Also “Enimemt Poet”, Kaavya Rattan” “Kaavya Mani” (NY-NJ), ‘Sayyad Amir Ali Meer Puruskaar--MP Academy-2013” Dr. Amrita Preetam Literary National Award-2014, Hindi Sevi Samman’-Asambi College-Trishur (Keral-2015).
