About Bernard Bourque

Bernard J. Bourque, PhD, is co-editor of "French Seventeenth-Century Literature: Influences and Transformations" (2009) and is the author of the critical edition "Abbé d’Aubignac. Pièces en prose" (2012), the critical edition "Jean Donneau de Visé et la querelle de Sophonisbe" (2014) and the book "All the Abbé’s Women: Power and Misogyny in Seventeenth-Century France, through the Writings of Abbé d’Aubignac" (2015). His other publications include journal articles on French seventeenth-century theatre. His novels include "Mr. Louis" (2017) and "The Shock Reader" (2017). Bernard lives on Campobello Island (Canada) with his wife Sandra.
