I really enjoyed this book, and couldn't wait to recommend it. “Journey in the Land of Spirits” by Linda Ostrander is a bedeviled and beguiling joy to read. Set near the Organ Mountains of New Mexico, Linda carries her readers to the home of ghosts and demons, providing spine-tingling, conscience-rattling moments with curious investigative reporter Mike Mullins. Mike explores a past murder, broken families, forbidden loves, and fortunes lost. Several times while reading, I got the "willies" from my neck to my knees. If you put this book down, you’ll return swiftly and eagerly to learn how the Devil’s web of deception ensnares and entangles even the children of the Organ Mountains, and Mike’s own family. Las Cruces, with its rich Mexican heritage is heralded here as lost lovers and haters in this mystery are exonerated and exposed. Great book for a vacation read!! Five stars!!
